Hi Jim,

In plugin Actions for JIRA Service Desk there is option to add transition in customer portal also for customers. So customer can change status of issue. There is also option to add transitions screen to customer portal. Here you can find documentation: https://intenso.atlassian.net/wiki/display/SPFJSD/Actions
