atlassian.net as a user provider

I need external service to authenticate users using atlassian.net accounts (or JIRA Cloud or Bitbucket). Is it possible? Maybe there's some kind of API for that?

Oh, I see what you mean now.

Yes, that is possible using oAuth Access. Please check out this article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRACLOUD/Allowing+OAuth+Access

Let us know if this helps you. wink

Ok, thank you.

But I'd like to know if I can use JIRA Cloud or BitBucket as authentication service for my application. I want to manage my team in one place, I'd like it to be JIRA Cloud. Is there any API available?

Hi Alexander,

The only external service we allow customers to use on JIRA Cloud to authenticate is Google Apps.

If you'd like more info about it, please refer to: Setup Google Apps for your site.

On Bitbucket you can use: Google Apps, Facebook, Twitter, and Github accounts. smile

Let us know if you have further questions.

Cheers!
