Xray imports

Evan Jones March 23, 2014

Is it possible to set up the JIRA API to import external JSON and input that into an issue?

I'd like to have automated test results from Jenkins feed right into the subsequent test execution after the nightly build runs.

Hi Evan.

We have a feature planned for creating a public REST API for performing such tasks: Export automated test definitions from JIRA and import back test exectuion results:

http://jira.xpand-it.com/browse/XRAY-120

I'll update this answer as soon as I have more information.

Shouldn't you do it the other way, from Jenkins call the JIRA REST API? You could use a scripting language like executable Groovy files or even javascript.
