Issues can be linked to multiple versions, using the 'Affects Version/s' field.

For example:

If you have a bug that occurs in both version 1.0 and version 2.0 of your product, you can set both versions in the 'Affects Version/s' field.

If you have fixed (or plan to fix) the bug in version 3.0, you can set the 'Fix Version/s' field to show that.

Here's an example from Atlassian's public issue tracker which shows how they use versions: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-62071

Yes linking issues in JIRA is simple regardless of issue type (if you are referring to the simple "link issue" feature) which offers a minimal functionality of showing a link between tickets and a link type. Do you have another feature/functionality in mind for linking issues other than this?

Thanks Gab.

Not really.

Just need to link a bug to different "Name" versions of the same product .

Will probably create a different Epic for each "Name" version.

Create a bug for one Epic and then link it to the other Epics.

Most bugs in one product apply to all the others as they are all essentially the same product.
