With OnDemand does NOT seem to be able to add a plugin that can integrate with our Git Server

Jerome January 5, 2013

I was not able to find ANY supported plugin for OnDemand that will allow us to integrate with our Git Server for integrations.

This appears to mean we will need to host our own instance.

Before making this decision I do want to ask if I have missed anything.

There appear to be two main plugins for integrating with Git (one free and one paid) - Neither appear to be supported.

Is this correct?

Our CTO does want our source behind our firewall. So do you have any options you can suggest I explore before making a decision?

Is there something I can do with Stash? ETc...

This is important to us so I appreciate your quick response.

Thanks

There isn't much you can do except hosting your own Atlassian instances or get it 3rd party hosted (via another provider) as Atlassian is supporting Bitbucket / Github at this point.

Jerome - a couple years late smile - but have you looked at the Git Integration for JIRA add-on: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.xiplink.jira.git.jira_git_plugin/

It's available for Server and Cloud. If you are still using Cloud - the firewall option gets tricky - but contact us at support@bigbrassband.com and we can walk you through your options.

Hi Jerome,

Your best bet is to set up a local Stash or FishEye instance, connect that with your Git repository and then create an Application Link between your local instance and JIRA OnDemand. Documentation on application links can be found at:

Let me know how you go. :)

Cheers,

Matt
