**not my picture, but actual issue**

Only when viewing one project is the project navigation sidebar not rendering the options. Works in all other projects, user is also a global admin as well.

Did a search could not find anything, can anyone tell me why it is doing this?

Thank you

Hi Ashleigh,

There are three common causes for this issue:

  1. JIRA is trying to find associations between Projects and Schemes, however gets one or more project IDs that do not exist any more.
  2. The Service Desk context of the project fails to be loaded.
  3.  Unfulfilled upgrade requirements. The minimum version to upgrade to JIRA Service Desk 3.2.x or greater is 3.0.x/3.1.x.

In light of that there is an article titled Service Desk project's navigation bar shows "Unable to render element due to an error" even though required upgrade tasks are fulfilled that has remedies for cause 1 and 2.

If you did upgrade to JIRA to 3.x from 7.1.x or before but did not perform the intermediate upgrade you'll want to take a look at After upgrading to JIRA Service Desk 3.2.x or greater, Service Desk project's navigation bar shows "Unable to render element due to an error".  Hopefully that helps!

Thanks,

Branden
