Why is Sum up failing when adding a filter of Sub-tasks

Christine Box June 17, 2016

Hi, We are showing a filter of subtasks in the issue tab in JIRA - but the remaining estimate field is not summing the sub-tasks.  it appears to only sum the standard JIRA type.  pls advise

Hi Christine,

do you use the aggregated remaining estimate field or the standard field? If you don't have included the subtask in your filter / JQL, then the best way would be to use the aggregated field. If you do have inluded the subtask in your filter / JQL, then you should use the standard field.

Hope this helps,

Cheers

Julian

Great - thanks

we were using a issuetype in jql but looking at the aggregated field. (because we were mixing sub-type and standard)

thanks for you help - all good now.
