There is a hint to the system requirements being on the downloads page.
But when you go there, nothing on system requirements. Nada. Zilch.
Please advise, what OS X versions are compatible with HipChat 3.3.6?
Also some folks who deploy HipChat to Mac users might find this thread useful:
Thanks, Don
Thanks, we'll add the min OS version as a requirement on our deployment policy.
What about suppressing updates, crash reporter, etc.?
We are setting at Local level:
defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat HockeySDKAutomaticallySendCrashReports 0 defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat HockeySDKCrashReportActivated 0 defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat SUEnableAutomaticChecks false defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat SUFeedURL none defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat checkMinorUpdates 0
And user level:
defaults write ~/Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat HockeySDKAutomaticallySendCrashReports 0 defaults write ~/Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat HockeySDKCrashReportActivated 0 defaults write ~/Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat SUEnableAutomaticChecks false defaults write ~/Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat SUFeedURL none defaults write ~/Library/Preferences/com.hipchat.HipChat checkMinorUpdates 0
Setting at Local level so all users get suppression. But we seem to have to also set at User level.
Is there a problem in the preference paths that get traversed by the application, that Local isn't enough to force suppression?
Thanks, Don
Is there some place to find which HipChat client versions are compatible with specific HipChat server versions?

Good catch, Don! This could be something that we need to add, once it's there for other platforms.
However, for the OS X usage, you can go with 10.8 and higher versions.
Cheers,
Giu
