When an Agent responds to a ticket and includes an attachment, is that attached or linked to in the email response?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Attaching files and screenshots to issues

This widget could not be displayed.

No it won't be attached in the email response but the email will contain the text that an attachment has been uploaded.

Okay, so follow up question, how does a user see the attachment?

Are they required to log in to JSD to see the attachment?
