What happened to the bookmark macro

Manuela Raschke January 22, 2012

We have migrated to Confluence 4.1 and cannot use the bookmark macro anymore. Has the macro been discontinued? Is there an alternative?

Thanks in advance Manuela

Hey Manuela,

The bookmarking plugin was bundled with Confluence until Confluence 4.0

You can still download and install the plugin in 4.x however.

As of today, you should be able to install it using UPM if you're using < Confluence 4.1.1

If you're using 4.1.3, you can still install it manually using the "Upload Plugin" option in UPM and using the download link here:

The note about it being removed from 4.0 is here:

Hi Manuela,

Do you mean the Social Bookmarking Plugin (http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF35/Working+with+Bookmarks) ? This was deprecated as core functionality from Confluence 4.0 onwards, but is still supported and is now available as a free plugin at https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugin/details/192

Hope that helps,

ANdrew.
