What do I do about 'Do Not Complete' tickets that I need to keep on record?

I have tickets for my team that need to not be completed as they worked themselves out or it is a bug that is not replicable etc.

If I add a "Do Not Complete" column it treats it as 'in progress' so that I cannot close my sprint.

Any ideas on how to tackle this challange?

Old post but cleaning things up.

there are two recommendations here:

  • use the Resolution field and add "Do not complete" as an option to the Done status, or....
  • use "Do not complete" as a status of type Done category and place this status in the right-most column along with Done
