Users limit

Jorge Sivil May 16, 2012

Hi, i'd like to know if user limit of 10 applies to people who can send bug or employees..... and if so, how do you separate them...

My question is because I plan to use JIRA to bugtrack my website development (only me by the moment) and I'd like users to be able to send bugs, but then I see I would have a 10 users limit with the US$ 10 license.

Thanks a lot for your help

The user limit is "number of people who can log in". Whether they're customers, employees, my cat, doesn't matter - if they can log in, they count towards your limit.

Can log in is determined by the global permission, and most Atlassian products ship with a default group set up for it. e.g. Jira-users in Jira. Most of us recommend that you use that group for nothing other than "can log in", and use other groups, or roles to determine "customer", "person in project X", "employee" and so on.
