Use variables in template urls

Richard Bate May 24, 2017

I've set up a Project Summary page based on a tutorial (http://lightmanyfires.com/create-a-kick-ass-confluence-navigation-user-interface-your-team-want-to-use/)

I've saved this as a template and it's working well, but every time I use it I need to change the URLs for the navigation items which takes a long time and puts people off using it.

Is there a way to use a variable name in the URL on the template that can be replaced with the project short name once the new project is created?

e.g.

template URL - https://company.atlassian.net/wiki/display/SOMEPROJ/Meeting+notes

Thanks in advance!
