Upgrade assistance

I need to set up a test server in order to check if the upgrade will work successfully. I currently have JIRA 4.4 installed on an Amazon AMI. Please point me to the relevant documentation that would guide me through replicating my current production environment on my test server and would also show how I can back up my existing database and migrate it to the test environment. I do not want to take a change upgrading in my production environment. This upgrade is important as there are several vulnerabilities reported by Atlassian and I want to be sure I can upgrade safely.

Hi, what database are you running? In general you just need a copy of the JIRA home directory and a database dump. You'll need to modify any varialbes including the base URL specific to your Production instance.
