Unstarted sprints get all mixed up and disappear

Jay Ramadorai March 14, 2013

I have three Sprint boards. I often "Create a Sprint" and add jiras to them and leave them in that state for a day or two before I finally start the sprint. If I have multiple such unstarted sprints, the JIRAs in them often get mixed up. One of the sprints will disappear and all the jiras I put into that one will show up in another unstarted sprint.

Can I only have one unstarted sprint at a time? or this is a bug in greenhopper?

Hi,

>> One of the sprints will disappear and all the jiras I put into that one will show up in another unstarted sprint.

Please take a look at custom fields. Do you have more Sprint custom fields or other Greenhooper fields? (this can be problem because issues may be related with different sprint custom field ids)
In that case read the article to fix the incident: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/GHKB/How+to+Fix+the+Duplicate+GreenHopper+Custom+Fields+After+Upgrading

Maybe you have duplicated Rank custom fields or problems with multiple values in rank field.

>>Can I only have one unstarted sprint at a time?

You can have more unstarted sprints at a time.

It is also possible to have multiple sprints running at once (labs feature), you just cannot start a new Sprint on a board that contains issues that are already in a Sprint.
