Unable to sort tables created in versions of Confluence earlier than 4.3

We have some pages with rather long tables (around 1000-1500 rows) and were eagerly waiting for table sorting capability. However it turns out we are unable to sort tables created prior to upgrade (we upgraded from 4.2.13 to 4.3). Could you please provide a solution to convert tables without having to manually recreate them?

Is this issue still suitable?

Have you tried to used Confluence Source Editor plugin to look within the source code if there is anything strange?

Or can you provide me a sample source code where the sorting does not work?

I was able to sort the table after I cleaned it up using source editor (th were missing, headers were td with colour instead)
