Time tracking problem - Users unable to log time using the "plus" button on the UI.

Users unable to log work using the plus button on the UI. Clicking on the plus sign does not bring up the Log Work screen.

The screen does appear when you go through More Actions menu.

I am assuming that you are on an ondemand version. This is a known bug JTMPO-515.

Raise a support ticket and give them this reference and ask them to disable tempo and your issue should be resolved.

  1. Ensure the user has the "Work on Issues" permission in the permission scheme. It's possible that the user is not in the group, or not in the project role.
  2. Ensure that time tracking is enabled globally.
  3. Check whether the issue is 'Closed', or the workflow has put the issue in a state that is uneditable.
  4. Ensure that the Time Tracking field is visible (not hidden) on the Field Configuration.

Did it work?

Yes. We saw this problem after we migrated to OnDemand. Raised a suppor ticket and this was resolved after Tempo was disabled.
