Planning: Total estimated time, group by person

Drew Liscomb May 28, 2012

Greetings,

While planning the next sprint, we found ourselves wanting to check that contributors weren't over-committing. To do so, we searched in vain for a view that shows "select task.person, sum(task.estimated_time) where task.sprint=this_sprint group by task.person".

I did spend a bit of time searching here for an answer, but if it's there, I wasn't using the right words.

Kind regards,
Drew

Yes - we struggle with the same thing, the problem is a jira item is not tagged with the sprint until it is an active sprint from what I could see. So you have to open the sprint to check the resource commitment.

Still using spreadsheets for this ...

Thanks for the view. I 'poked' Atlassian on this.

That link does not work, however, there is no way to do this.

I am hoping someone at some stage in the future rights a plugin to do this, since like you say all the data is in the database.
