Outgoing Mail Configuration error

Hi,

While configuring SMTP I am getting the follow error

Unfortunately no connection was possible. Review the errors below and rectify:

•SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

I am able to telnet to our mail server / SMTP relay without any issues and we have allowed the JIRA IP to relay to this SMTP server

Hi Zaheer

Just double checking, are you able to telnet to SMTP server from JIRA host server? Anyway, please review the server settings using the IP and typing the TCP port instead of using the hotname and default port (field in blank).

Also, please paste here the logs messages from SMTP server when dropping the connection.
