Not able to "Edit Option" in Custom Fields

Gaurav Nawathey December 1, 2012

Hello Team,

I am facing a critical problem...

I am not able to Edit Options in Custom Fields.. I am attaching a Screenshot.

My Understanding on the issue is like this...

Last Week I had done a Bulk Update in DB in the customfieldoptions table, where we had uploaded a csv file in our sql server 2008 database.

I think the error is because of the same Upload.

Currently, the system is in Production and issues are getting logged, so I am sure, I will have an problem Restoring the Backup.

Please suggest a solution where the database is Restored with Correct Values and the Data from production is not lost.

It is NEVER wise to update the database, especially whilst JIRA is running. If you ever have to at least shut down JIRA and restart it. It is always a risky operation. Backups should be taken beforehand, heavily tested after and restore if needed.

Have you tried a re-index as well as an integrity check? Do note re-index *will* put JIRA offline.

Are there any errors in the logs?
