Need human-readable export format for workflows

Ed Guy September 4, 2012

I am in desperate need of a means of exporting workflow definitions with all the transitions, screens, conditions, etc. presented in a single view in order to formally document the workflows, compare workflows among projects, and detect changes. The workflow designer diagrams only give me part of the picture; screenshots only give me part of the picture. The XML export is not useful for these purposes, since it is not readily accessible by human beings. It also makes it difficult for me to convince new projects to use JIRA, because I can't explain in a reasonable amount of time how to make it work.

JRA-29815 has been created to track this as a new feature request.

Hey @Ed Guy3 ,

I might be a bit late, but we have an app for this!

Let me know if this helps :)

I'm really sure this is a feature request. And a good one.

You should check jira.atlassian.com to see if there is already a Feature Request for that. Otherwise, go ahead and open one.
