Linking Jira and Stash

Trying to create an application link between Jira and Stash (which is on an extended eval). On separate machines - always got 'JIRA couldn't communicate with Stash using this URL'. So decided to try it on the Jira production server - still get the same response. This is during the stash setup sequence. I can get to it via the web browser either using localhost or the IP address (as I could when they were on separate machines). Clearly I'm missing something - but I can't for the life of me see what.

Hey Derek,

Can you try to enter the value set as the Stash Base URL when you are in JIRA? When you perform the link from within your development JIRA instance and Stash, do you see any errors appear in your <JIRA HOME/log/atlassian-jira.log file? Try to tail it and see if you can get a specific error.
