Limit EC2 instance access for Bamboo

Alessandro Giannone August 8, 2013
Hi, Navigating to "Bamboo Admin -> Elastic Bamboo -> Disconnected Instances" I can see a list of all our servers, production and non. Is there any way to limit the access Bamboo has in terms of instances? All the instances on that list come with a terminate button which is dangerous considering the instances to not carry any tags. This could lead to the accidental termination of a production instance which would be terrible. How can I allow Bamboo to see / act on only Bamboo specific instances? I see that Bamboo created a SecurityGroup. Is there any way for Bamboo to only be able to see instances within that group? Thanks, Ale

Nothing out of the box, I am afraid. You could create a separate account for Bamboo or create an IAM subaccount on your account.
