Licensing Cost

Is it actually not possible to license for less users than the JIRA license? This makes the plugin much more expensive while getting it adopted. I would much rather purchase licenses just for those I expect to use it early on and then purchase more as it is further adopted. Is this not possible or simply not preferred?

Hi Brian, The way Atlassian license works it's plainly not possible. You will never be able to install a say 100 user plugin licence on a 1000 users instance.

The free trial is there for that. And as Atlassian say it :

3. Can I get an extension for my Marketplace add-on evaluation?

You can extend your Marketplace add-on evaluations up to five times, for a total of six months.

Then if that is not enough to make it popular enough to buy a full licence, well.. :P
