Knowledge Base with Anonymous access

David Monticelli February 27, 2014
Having started to use Jira & Confluence for several months now, we have some projects defined and populated. We have started a Knowledge Base section in almost both projects (into their corresponding Confluence space). To anticipate problems, I would like to know if it will be possible to open those Knowledge Bases for Anonymous access? But we only agree to give Anonymous access to Knowledge Base content (FAQ + How TO). I am afraid the only solution would be to create a new space dedicated to Knowledge Base content and to grant Anonymous access only to that Space.

You can grant anonymous access to the space, and just apply a "Restriction" to the other top-level pages. (FAQ and HOW-TO must be top-level, without restrictions)

The restrictions are inhertied by any child pages, and so applying at the top will ensure all content is locked.
