Jira Migration from 4.4 to 5.2.7 , custom workflows

I need to migrate from JIRA 4.4 to 5.2.7 ( Latest ) and the mehodology i was thinking was:

1. Install the latest JIRA

2. Export 4.4 as XML

3. Import 4.4 Data to 5.2.7

Questions:

1. When backing up, do Custom Workflows get backup

2. When we import data to 5.2.7 do custom workflows also get imported ?

3. Are there any GOTH'as or issues that i need to be aware of ? for this upgrade path?

I am not sure what you mean by custom workflow, but I assume that it is one made within the JIRA ui. If so, then your plan should work without issue.

4.4 to 5.2.7 should be a fairly straightforward upgrade. I would recommend you check plugin compatability first. Also, do this in a test environment prior to production to ensure that you can have a smooth procedure when you go live with this.
