Jira Issue Due Date reminder functionality?

Rich Coleman August 7, 2012

Is there a way to set due date reminders for issues in Jira? ideally, when we add a task in Jira, we would like to specify a start date and get a reminder when the task should be started. Since there are no start dates in Jira, an alternative would be to set a date with a reminder a couple of weeks out that could act as the start date.

Hello,

thank you for your question.

Even if you found a solution for your question already, it may still be interesting to other Jira users.

With RemindMe for Jira you can add individual reminders to every single Jira issue you wish to be reminded about and send you global reminders before a Jira issue reaches its Due Date.

So never forget important tasks again, just

  • Set a reminder for Jira issues and
  • Get an email-notification which reminds you about your issues

For more information please have a look at our documentation.

Why not create a filter and then set up subscriptions as needed?
