JIRA as service on Windows Server 2008 x64

Oleg Kalinin August 27, 2012

Hi!

Do you have a consolidated instruction on how to install JIRA 5 on Windows Server 2008 x64?

JIRA 5.1.3 is installed, working fine, but restarting the server will cause the following error:

============================

HTTP Status 404 -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

type Status report

message

description The requested resource () is not available.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache Tomcat/6.0.32

=============================

When I log on and restart JIRA service - it works fine again.

I've read a lot, but can't find a right solution ....

Please help.

Hi, can the JIRA server cannot to the database? Can you attach the logs? But what it looks like is that the JIRA service is trying to connect the database before it's started up.

There's a similar issue in https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/59421/jira-service-dependency-on-sql-server-service-is-not-sufficient with a resolution.
