We have our JIRA and Confluence applications linked and primarily use the link to pull JIRA issue data into Confluence wiki pages. After a recent JIRA upgrade (to 5.0.6), the Activity Stream panel on our JIRA System Dashboard consistently times out pulling data from Confluence. If we extend the timeout, the Confluence events eventually show up in the Activity Stream. If we remove the application link, the Activity Stream panel populates quickly. We are not terribly interested in seeing the Confluence events in JIRA. Is there some way to make this a one-way application link or to filter the Confluence content from the Activity stream?
Hi Eric,
Are you able to add Global Filters in the activity stream gadget? I believe you can choose which instance to be show the data in the gadgets or any filters on it. Please check it out the document below, maybe it will help you to prevent the timeout to be happen:

Hope it helps.
Hi John,
Thanks for the suggestion. I looked at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA050/Adding+the+Activity+Stream+Gadget since we are running JIRA 5.0.6. I only see "Filters" (not "Global Filters") and more importantly I don't see any "Available Streams" section.
Any idea why my UI differs?
Thanks,
Eric
