Is there a way I can set the default component of issues created via the mail handler?

Cheff I March 1, 2012

When the handler receives emails, I want the tickets to be assigned to a specific component, not under No component. Is there a way the handler can be configured (e.g. a parameter) to take care of that? Thanks, Cheff

Yes, you need to use JEMH and specify the components parameter.

This is exactly what I want to do I install JEMH but could not get it to work. Any thoughts on how to set the component based upon the email?

Hi Robert, There is an alternative solution now: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/biz.beag.jira.mailer It's pretty easy to setup, see the screenshot attached: https://marketplace-cdn.atlassian.com/files/images/0c649f3f-7301-4274-a898-c727b93ade06.png
