Is there a program for a company to be an Atlassian partner?

Jennifer Forrest March 6, 2017

LeanKit has a partnership (technically a “partner use of the tool”) program. Is there something comparable for Atlassian?

Summary of LeanKit partner use:

  • Free use of up to 20 licenses (cloud-based)
  • Offer clients an extended free trial of 30 days
  • Not obligated to indicate that we are a user or that LeanKit is our preferred Kanban tool
  • Referrals allow partner to receive a referral fee of 10% or pass that as a discount to our clients [first year only]
  • Nothing contained in the Agreement shall be construed as creating or constituting a partnership, joint venture or agency between the parties to this Agreement.  Rather, the parties shall be deemed independent contractors with respect to each other for all purposes.
  • Can be terminated at any time with no cause

What this partnership would NOT be:

  1. Something where our company ONLY specializes in Atlassian implementations
  2. Something where we only procure Atlassian products for our clients

Very much so.  See https://www.atlassian.com/partners/join

The details are quite different to the Leankit ones, probably actually friendlier if I understand them correctly.

To answer your two "not" points - no, that's fine.  There are re-seller only arrangements, but they're not really considered to be Solution Partners.  I work for a platinum partner and the whole company is Atlassian focussed on the technology side, although our clients are not, so we do work on other stuff when we're engaged to look at a wider picture.  There are others even at Platinum level who have Atlassian as a sub-set of the technologies they work with.
