Regarding Jira, there are currently 145 issues with component "Documentation" and not resolved yet.

Yes, e.g. regarding new versions of Apache Lucene and their impact regarding the behaviour of the JQL.

I have faced the problem while upgrading to Jira 6. In connection with a Support Ticket the following issue was opened: Document Lucene versions in JIRA.
