Idea Atlasian connector: changed password mess, how to solve ?

Guillaume Ame August 5, 2013

So I'm using Intellij Idea and the Atlassian connector to have my Jiras at hand. This is very handy.

I've changed my password for Jira and now the connector is not working fine anymore:

I've tried to update the password in the plugin settings for my project, I've delete the atlassian configuration everywhere (project and ide settings).

When I test my password in config view I got a 'connected sucessfully' popup.

Then I can use the plugin a few time and after a few commands I got an exception:

com.atlassian.theplugin.commons.remoteapi.RemoteApiException: myname:[password 11 chars]@https://my.jira.url/jira

Login denied

Then I can't use the plugin anymore and I need to connect to Jira with a new http session and to enter a captcha to login.

For example after a clean IDE start I can list latest Jiras, pick one, add a comment, but got the exception when trying to log some time.

After a fresh loggin with a new browser session with the captcha, I'm able to log some time to the task, but then I got the exception when I try to change the state of the task...

What am I doing wrong ? Why the Jira server bounces me off after a few commands ?

Ok I realized that the task selector in the toolbar is driven by Idea itself and not the connector plugin.

So it has its own password stored, and this was the one interfering with the connector.
