I want to have one email for two users in JIRA Ondemand

Hello,

A few months ago I set up JIRA so that a generic (dummy) user used the same email address as another user. It worked exactly like i needed it to. Now I would like to change that email address to a different user (two users with the same email address) but it will not let me. Has that rule changed and is there a way around it?

You are correct, Jose ... this was a recent change. Please reference the follow issue for more details: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AOD-7292but in a nutshell:

this was an intentional change by us in the lead up to the upcoming roll out of Atlassian ID to OnDemand. Email addresses will have to be unique across the board given it's the primary key for all AID accounts. So what we've done is reduce the number of potentially duplicate emails at the time of eventual roll out (which will mean less cleaning up when AID does roll out).
