The services can be configured to run at fixed time intervals. But i want to run service at fixed time? Is that possible with configuration but not programatically?

Not with configurations. You need to create a scheduled task instead of a service. Services cannot be scheduled for a fixed time.

Hi Jobin, Thanks for your information.

I checked in jira-developed-cookbook but there is very little information about the trigger configuration. Appreciate if you could share some more information about the configuration related to the expressions. Actually our requirement is to run a job at 6am everyday.

Spatruni,

The expression is bascially a Cron job expression. You can find the samples here: http://www.quartz-scheduler.org/documentation/quartz-2.x/tutorials/tutorial-lesson-06
