How to retrieve sprint information for an issue from jira server rest api?

I made a plugin which used greenhopper plugin. As I understand this plugin is deprecated and we should use the rest api instead. I have a hard time finding out how to get sprint information for an issue. There is an jira cloud api call which does this, but I cannot find a similar jira server api rest method.

It must be possible to retrieve sprint information from the jira server rest api isn't it?
