How to migrate Wiki mark up from Confluence 3.5.13 to Confluence 4.2.5 as the new version doesn't support wiki markups?

vivek.aniyan July 3, 2012

We are having currently Confluence 3.5.13 in the production. Now in the recent future we are planned for an upgrade to Confluence 4.2.5. While migrating the production data to SI as part of the version upgrdation, we are facing an error while trying to copy the wiki markup. While trying to save the Wiki markup we are experiencing an error. PFA the error image.

my guess now is that the number-dataoption is not properly used in Conlfuence 3.5.13.

Could anyone please help me out in this matter?

Double confirm if your Scaffolding plugin is compatible with your current Confluence release version. After upgrading your Scaffolding plugin to the compatible release version, please proceed to re-attempt migration and see how it goes.

Some plug-ins have changed along with Confluence 4, so you're best bet is to check the documentation provided by the plug-in manufacturer to find out what the changes are. In this case, you'll find that the name field is mandatory for number-data, so in all likelihood the error message is coming from the plugin, not Confluence.
