How to autoassign an issue to the first assignee?

I want to be able to assign the issue back to the developer who worked on it. This would be the person who the issue was asigned to during the "Assign" state. I want to be able to do this whenever I fail an issue.

Hi Paula, I know about a possibility to achieve this.

There is a Plugin called Jira Misc Workflow Extensions that has a Workflow Post-Function called 'Assign to Last Role Memeber', we are using this in cases when the developer releases a development and a bug is discovered, so he needs to fix that.
