We just rolled out this feature. You can upload images directly to answers now:

Hi Jeremy,

I still cant attach an image in my posts. it just shows me "()" when the file is attached.

Mizan - what browser are you using?

I use mozilla firefox.

Ok, I think I identified it. It's actually not the browser that's the variable. Spaces in the file name break it. Track it at ANSWERS-463. For now, delete any spaces in the name and it should render.

When i try to edit my post it does not give me an option to upload an image.

Right - sorry about all these - that's a different bug:

I think currently its only possible to refer to an image which is located somewhere in the web. So, you have to insert an URL to a Picture like "".

It looks like you have inserted the path to the picture on your harddrive ("C:\Documents%20and%20Settings\Administrator\My%20Documents\My%20Pictures\comp.png")

A solution is to upload your piture to a place somewhere in the web an directly refer to it.

Thanx :) it would have been good if we could directly upload an image from our hard drive because it becomes easy to edit a screenshot and upload it.

We're going to include a feature to attach files, but we also have a pending feature for screenshots: Ability to add image screenshot like JIRA.

+1 that!

To attach a screenshot to our comment, you can upload the screenshots to a Cloud server, then it will provide you direct image link for sharing or inserting into comments.

Here follows the screenshot of this web page:

Why don't you simply add a little stylesheet snippet to your global administration -> Stylesheets section

#dashboard-people-directory-link {

This will remove the people directory link from the dashboard and from the global menu.

Upload to an image hosting provider e.g. Flickr, Twipic, yfrog or my current favourite Minus, then hot link it from there.
