How do I limit a search to a page and its child pages instead of the whole space?

We are using the documentation theme and would like to be able to limit a search to just a page and its child pages. Currently the searches will find matching terms through the whole space.

There is a search syntax to achieve this: The <tt>ancestorIds</tt> parameter is used to restrict the search to a subset of pages. This is so you can search everything "under" a given page, determined by the id value you provide.
