How can I send notifications to an alias email?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Set email aliases

I have my alias emails set up.  For some teams or the entire account I'd like notifications to not go to the primary Atlassian email address but one of the alias email addresses I've set up.

Please help.

So change the email addresses on the account you're sending it to.

I think I'm missing something from the question though.
