Hi, I have a question here. Is it possible to write a plugin to add custom view in Jira dashboard?

I want to write a plugin which will add a custom view in jira's dashboard. After it has added this view every time User comes and open that view, I will fatch data from another API which is not of Jira. And this data I want to publish in the view that was previously generated.

If this is possible, please suggest me the source from where I can learn to develop one.
