HTML from space export makes request back to server

Todd_Gamblin December 10, 2012

Exporting a space to HTML in Confluence 4.3.2 doesn't seem to generate standalone HTML. In the footer of generated pages, there is a link back to the server in the footer:

/confluence/images/border/border_bottom.gif) repeat-x;>

That image request kills things for our users because it triggers an authentication prompt whenever a user loads the HTML page. Shouldn't the HTML be standalone? I can see having links to other spaces go back to the server, but the user has to click on those, whereas this is requested every time the page is viewed. Can't you just include border_bottom.gif in the exported zip file?

Hi Todd,

Just wanted to cross reference our support case with this answers post. As we found, this is a bug in Confluence and a report has been filed for it.

Export Space to HTML footer contains reference to originating site and not the export
