We are looking for a way to validate a Confluence OnDemand site for use with Google Webmaster Tools. We can't find a way to do so.
There are different options to validate a site with the Tools, and one of them is to do so with Google Analytics, but Google Analytics is not supported with Confluence OnDemand.
[NOTE on Google Analytics: there is a separate thread in which they say that lack of support is due to concerns with preventing the insertion of custom JavaScript, which could harm the system. This is not correct: custom JavaScript does NOT need to be inserted at all: the default and robust JavaScript provided by Google would be automatically inserted: the only "custom" element would be the GA Site ID provided by the customer]
It appears that we continue to bump into limitations in Confluence OnDemand that seem really, really basic, and which could be resolved rather quickly.
Has anyone found a workaround to the above with Confluence OnDemand?
Hello,
This kind of customization is not permitted.
Please check OnDemand Restricted functions to get more information about this: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Restricted+Functions+in+Atlassian+OnDemand .
