Formulas to generate JIRA dashboards externally (Tableau)

john October 27, 2014

I would like to emulate the following JIRA dashboards via an external tool Tableau using a JIRA connector.  Can you provide the formulas used to calculate the metrics that generate each dashboard?  We could likely find a way to this but it would take considerable more  time to do this.  We are big fans of the JIRA tool and would love to find a way to make this happen. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated in helping to expedite this process.

Objective: Identify Executive-level dashboard reporting via Tableau (Front-end) utilizing JIRA (backend) as the primary target database.

Hi,

I do not know Tableau, but maybe this is helpful: http://atlasboard.bitbucket.org/. You can use it to create a great looking dashboard (wallboard) based on JIRA data (or any other application really). It has a sprint health gadget out of the box and many other widgets as well.

Hope this helps.
