Exporting issues in Jira 4.3.3

I am attempting to migrate projects from one JIRA instance to another. The original instance is running 4.3.3, while the new host is running 5.1.5. Is there any way to export the issues/projects/data in general, for import into the new JIRA instance?

Hi David,

You can import your whole instance (projects/issues/users/configuration) using the XML backup and restore on the 5.1.5 instance.

Please note that this will remove any data currently on the 5.1.5 instance.

If you just like to import the project and issues, you can only do that using the XML backup from the same JIRA version.
