Error while testing connection to Add Pop/Imap server

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring JIRA applications to receive email from a POP or IMAP mail server

I get this error everytime i test the connection of my Incoming mail handler. This handler was working fine few days back. Any idea how i can proceed on this?

I'd want to follow the recommendation in the error message - look at the error log
