Email based on issue severity

I'd like to send emails to different addresses depending on their severity. Specially, I'd like to be able to route emails created at the highest severity to a specific email address to make sure they are promply addressed. Is there any way to do this?

This widget could not be displayed.

If you have or can create a user in JIRA with that email address, you can then subscribe filters to that user. Actually subscription works only for groups but you can add a group with that user alone!

The filter can be made with that severity and pther criteria like 'created today' or in the last 5 minutes etc!

None of the other workarounds will work for you because onDemand doesn't allow customizations.
