Editor Issue with Internet Explorer 9

Nicole Punsalan September 4, 2012

Hi,

Many of our wiki users have been trying to add or edit content but their changes aren't being saved when they use IE9. Is our current version of Confluence incompatible with IE9? Or is IE9 incompatible with Confluence?

The workaround I've been advising for our users is to click the Compability View button in IE9 (you have to click it twice).

Will Confluence be modified to work properly in IE9? I know an upgrade to the latest versions of Confluence won't help this issue as I've read other incompatibility issues regarding IE9.

Thank you,

Nicole

Simmilar issue here.

With IE8 or IE9 (Confluence 4.3.1) no "Save, Preview" etc button available.

Workaround: zoom out.

Nicole,

As discussed in your support ticket, IE 9 is only supported for Confluence 4.0+. Editing should work fine in that, or you can try using Google Chrome Frame.

Having said that, this is the first I've heard of IE 9 not being able to save at all, so I'd recommend checking for any Confluence plugins, layout changes or browser extensions that could be interfering.
