Distributed servers with Crucible (license and schema)

Jorge Valdeiglesias April 3, 2013

Hi, we are thinking on setting up an other Crucible server in an other location to avoid latency problems. My question is, do we have to purchase an other license for this new server? (we have the 100+ user one)

And an other thing, is there any recommended schema for distributed servers? I mean, can we make both servers work as one and that be transparent to users or they will work as 2 different servers?

There are no current plans to support clustering of FishEye or Crucible.

True, but I see the status = closed and resolution = won't fix. Does that mean it won't be implemented? (I ask because it's an old question from 4 years ago)

Hi Jorge,

If you have 2 separate instance running at the same time, you would require two different license.

Back to the distributing the instance, there is feature request for this at https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/FE-937

For Failover, you might want to borrow some idea from https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/ATLAS/Failover+for+JIRA
